Forty percent of new LEED registrations (by square footage) come from projects outside of the U.S. USGBC's new Alternative Compliance Paths make LEED more applicable to international projects and increase LEED's potential for global market transformation. The LEED International Roundtable is discussed key issues facing projects abroad, focusing on global consistency, a regional approach and local outreach and support for LEED. This session introduced the LEED International Program, explaining how it provides the foundation for LEED to move toward a performance-based recertification program on a global scale.
