Hundreds of job seekers from around the country lined up to talk face-to-face with the dozens of companies exhibiting at the second Green Jobs Fair at Greenbuild. It was a showing that accurately depicted the plight of many who have been struck by the recession and are currently out-of-work, but also showcased the potential, power and opportunity the green building movement represents.

Green jobs have the potential to create 7.9 million jobs by 2013, according to a 2009 study by Booz Allen Hamilton. That kind of growth and market presence gives hope for a bright future for job seekers and USGBC! For those who weren't able to attend the fair, you can still register for Greenbuild and meet representatives from most of the companies featured at the fair in the expo hall.
