LEED Workshops @ Greenbuild
Attend LEED workshops at Greenbuild and earn up to 7 hours of continuing education credit. Many workshops also qualify for LEED-specific hours.
All USGBC LEED education programs meet eligibility requirements for the LEED Green Associate, and many meet credential maintenance requirements for the Green Associate and LEED AP credentials. USGBC workshops are taught by our skilled LEED Faculty and experienced LEED practitioners who are also trained facilitators.
LEED 201: Core Concepts & StrategiesMonday, November 12 from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (Session ID: LD11)
This course provides essential knowledge of sustainable building concepts fundamental to all commercial and institutional LEED rating systems, with brief mention of LEED for Homes. Learn about LEED intents and concepts at the credit category level, including strategies, synergies, metrics and referenced standards; as well as LEED certification process basics. Interactive activities based on real LEED projects reinforce what you've learned. This course is recommended prior to taking commercial rating system-specific education programs.

Gain essential knowledge of the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance rating system, including its benefits and return on investment; credit intents, key elements, requirements, referenced standards, and synergies; and foundations of the LEED certification process. HOMES 401: Green Rater TrainingMonday, November 12 & Tuesday, November 13 from 8:30am – 5:00pm (Session ID: LD16AB)
*NOTE: This is a 2-day workshop.
This training prepares qualified participants to provide verification services on LEED for Homes projects and is a requirement for those pursing the LEED for Homes Green Rater Certificate. Applicants must meet initial qualifications and complete this two-part training. Following the training, participants must take a written exam provided by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) and complete a mentorship on real projects before earning the certificate.
