Where is Greenbuild 2008 being held?
In Boston, Massachusetts at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

What is the appropriate attire for Greenbuild?
The conference is business casual. Special events such as the Leadership Awards is business.
May I have access to the list of attendees or the list of exhibitors?
As a courtesy to our attendees we do not release our registration list. If you would like information about any of our exhibitors, please view our interactive 2008 Greenbuild exhibit hall map.
What travel information should I be aware of?
Boston proper has only one airport, Logan International Airport (Airport code BOS). It is located 3.5 miles away from the convention center (approximately a 10 minute drive).
Who will attend Greenbuild?
Greenbuild brings together professionals from all aspects of the building industry. Architects, building owners, code officials, contractors, developers, educators, engineers, facility managers, financial service providers, government agencies, green power providers, home builders, interior designers, landscape architects, nonprofit organizations, product manufacturers, schools, universities, students, and urban planners will all be at the conference to share ideas and promote greener building.
What are the hours of operation for the Expo Hall?
The Expo Hall will open Tuesday evening and close on Thursday evening, November 18-20. The Expo Hall will not been be open on Friday.
Do you have to be a USGBC member to attend the conference?
No, anyone can attend Greenbuild 2008. However, USGBC members do receive discounted rates. Learn more about becoming a member.
What’s included in Greenbuild’s Program?
Greenbuild includes over 100 educational sessions featuring world renown speakers, LEED workshops, off-site educational sessions, and Green Building tours of local Boston sites. Past speakers include Bill Clinton, Paul Hawken, and David Suzuki.

What does it cost to attend Greenbuild?The cost of attending Greenbuild 2008 will vary based on whether you're a USGBC member, how many days you attend and which optional events (e.g. LEED Workshops) you choose to attend. Tickets can be purchased for the entire conference or for individual events.
When does registration for Greenbuild 2008 open?
Registration for Greenbuild 2008 will open in mid February.

What payment types are accepted to register?
You can register using Visa, Master Card, American Express, or a check. The use of purchase orders or vouchers to pay for the conference must be approved on a case by case basis.
What is included in each type of registration?

How do I recieve the member discount at Greenbuild?
When you register online the system will ask you to identify your company and will automatically apply the discount to all member companies. To look up your company enter the first few words of your company name and choose your correct company from the list that appears below. If you are a new member please allow a week for your company to appear in the system.
Are group discounts available?
Discounts for group registration are currently not available.
Is there a student discount?
There is a special discounted rate of $225 with meals for full time students or young professionals 25 years of age or younger. Full time students or young professionals 25 years of age or younger may also volunteer 8 hours of service at Greenbuild in exchange for a free conference registration.
Do I need to pre-register for any sessions at Greenbuild?
You will need to pre-register for greenbuild tours, offsite educational sessions, and pre/post conference sessions. You can register for this as part of your online conference registration.
Do I need to register for the entire conference in order to attend a LEED workshop at Greenbuild?
You can attend a LEED workshop without registering for the conference. When you register, simply choose the workshop only option.
How do I register as an international attendee?
Even if you are living outside of the United States you can register online normally. Once you have registered and paid the conference fees, an official letter of invitation for visa purposes will be mailed to you automatically.
Will I need to obtain a visa?
Yes, some International attendees to Greenbuild will need to apply for a visa at their local U.S. Embassy, consulate or other visa-issuing office. To obtain a visa, you will need a valid passport, a letter of invitation, a photo ID, and a nonimmigrant visa application form.
If you are visiting from a country participating in the Visa Waiver Program and have a machine-readable passport, however, it may not be necessary to obtain a visa.

• Include evidence of any previous trips you might have made to the U.S.; proof of your intended return to your home country; and offical letter of inviation

What is the nearest Airport to the Convention Center?
Logan Airport is a convenient 2 miles outside the city center, with several convenient public transportation options to the airport from downtown & suburban locations. Travelers can ride the MBTA Blue Line to Airport Station and connect to all terminals via free Logan shuttle buses. Taxis are readily available within the city & at the airport. There are approximately 40 airlines that serve Boston. For more information, please visit Logan International Airport website.
What public transportation is available from the Airport?
The MBTA (Mass. Bay Transportation Authority) - referred to as the "T" - runs daily service on buses, trains, & trolleys throughout Boston & surrounding towns. T stations can be identified by a black "T" on a white circular sign. T-Passes can be purchased at T-Pass Sales offices, full-service, in-station fare vending machine, and retail sales location or online.
Will transportation be provided from conference hotels to the convention center?
USGBC will be arranging for shuttle service between conference hotels and the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. Shuttle service will be comprehensive and meet transportation needs for all attendees. A complete schedule will be release closer to the conference.
How do I reserve a hotel room for the conference?
USGBC will be securing special conference rates at a number of Boston hotels. We recommend booking early to ensure that you receive the discounted Greenbuild prices. View a listing of Greenbuild hotels.

For which companies is USGBC a provider for CEUs and what may they be applied to?
Continuing Education Unites (CEUs) will be available for Educational Sessions, Offsite Education Sessions, LEED Workshops, Green Building Tours, and Post Conference Seminars. USGBC is a registered educational program provider for AIA/CES, ASID/IIDA, BOMI and IFMA.
How do I get my CEUs from Greenbuild 2007?
