Where is Greenbuild 2010 being held?

Greenbuild 2010 will be held in Chicago, Illinois: November 17–19, 2010 at the McCormick Place Convention Center located at 2301 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60616.


When will the call for proposals open for Greenbuild 2010?

The call for proposals for Greenbuild 2010 opened on-site at Greenbuild 2009 and closed on January 19, 2010. A team of peer reviewers from diverse industries is currently reviewing each session that's been submitted and will select the top submissions to be presented at Greenbuild.


What dates and times will the Greenbuild exhibit hall floor be open?

The exhibit hall will be open during the following times:

  • Tuesday, November 17: 5:30pm – 8:00pm
  • Wednesday, November 18: 9:00am – 5:30pm
  • Thursday, November 19: 9:00am – 5:30pm

What is the appropriate attire for Greenbuild?

The conference is business casual. Special events such as the Leadership Awards is business.


May I have access to the list of attendees or the list of exhibitors?

As a courtesy to our attendees we do not release our registration list. If you would like information about any of our exhibitors, please visit the exhibitor page.


Who will attend Greenbuild?

Greenbuild attracts professionals from all aspects of the building industry. Architects, building owners, code officials, contractors, developers, educators, engineers, facility managers, financial service providers, government agencies, green power providers, home builders, interior designers, landscape architects, nonprofit organizations, product manufacturers, schools, universities, students, and urban planners will all be at the conference to share ideas and promote greener building.


Do you have to be a USGBC member to attend the conference?

No, anyone can attend Greenbuild 2010. However, USGBC members will receive discounted rates. Learn more about becoming a member.


What’s included in Greenbuild’s Program?

Greenbuild includes over 100 educational sessions featuring world renown speakers, LEED workshops, off-site educational sessions, and Green Building tours of local sites. Past speakers include Archbishop Desmond Tutu, President Bill Clinton, Paul Hawken and David Suzuki.
