American Institute of Architects (AIA)

USGBC will apply to AIA for credit for most concurrent Education Sessions, LEED Workshops, Summit sessions and tours. Check back this summer for AIA/CES approval information for specific courses.

Session Attendance Recording
If you provided your AIA number during registration, simply make sure your badge gets scanned when you arrive at each eligible session, and that you submit your AIA number during registration. The session number and the number of Learning Units (LUs) will be recorded in an electronic database once you scan your badge. The number of LUs per session is equal to its length, so a one and a half hour session is equal to one LU.

Submission
The U.S. Green Building Council will automatically submit your sessions and LUs accumulated to AIA. You can print a certificate of your session attendance for your records from Greenbuild Connect after the conference in case of any discrepancies on your transcript. You must submit your AIA number in My Greenbuild by November 16th 2012 for this credit to be automatically applied.
