Greenbuild Scholarship Program

USGBC is provides need‐based, all-inclusive scholarships to attend the 2010 Greenbuild International Conference & Expo. Through this program, USGBC hopes to engage populations that are currently underrepresented in the green building industry while increasing access to Greenbuild for low-income individuals. Greenbuild is an ideal setting for individuals to learn about the industry on the expo floor, advance their knowledge in educational sessions and form worthwhile relationships at Greenbuild events and the Green Building Job Fair.

Scholarship recipients will receive one full‐conference registration package, including travel and lodging stipends. They will meet some of their local USGBC Chapter leaders, and will be encouraged to maintain involvement in their Chapter and green building community when returning from Greenbuild. Recipients will also receive access to USGBC education programming and resources to continue to their green building education after Greenbuild.

USGBC Young Leader Awards Program

USGBC will select honorees between the ages of 13 and 25 to receive this year’s USGBC Young Leader Awards, which includes all-expense paid trips to Greenbuild. The honorees were selected through a competitive application process and evaluated on their demonstrated commitment to sustainability in their communities and schools.
